Estimated launch date:
Spring/summer 2025.
Make sure you subscribe to our Priority List for updates.
We’ll keep updating this schedule, and the details below, as things develop for our very individual new British microbrand.
We’ll be releasing the first of our extraordinary aesthetics focused watches on the date above, which is Fractal Emergence:
We expect the small limited-edition of this watch, which is almost certainly the first ever 3D fractal watch, to sell out rapidly when it’s launched, so make sure you subscribe to our Priority List for updates, announcements and reminders.
Since committing to go ahead with this project, our brand has made an exciting start.

What we’re working on right now
We’ve added initial details of our launch watch to its web-page: Fractal Emergence:
We’re currently at the exciting stage of beginning a prototype of our Fractal Emergence 40mm watch. We’re getting the 3D models ready to send to 3D printers, and getting quotes for the electronics used for our unique time-display.
We’ve made significant changes to our website, as well as implementing ongoing updates and additions, including lots of fascinating blog posts about topics relevant to our brand.
And, of course, we’re taking actions to get our watches seen by people who love them, posting on social-media, and blog posts like this. We’d love you to get involved and help us launch . . . comment on our blog posts and social-media (links below) and share our content on your social-media.
Our progress so far
The first thing I got involved in, after restarting this brand, was to develop and clarify the brand concept, making sure I knew what it was, and why, but also, just as importantly, what it was not.
I came across this article below, slightly later in the brand development. Even though their choice of aesthetics is very different from mine, I think there are some great points here:
The ten rules of brand building, by TheHundreds.
Overlapping with brand development, I needed to get some new 3D renders done, of different watches from our microbrand, showing some of the different types of aesthetics which can be part of our range.
The product concepts had also evolved somewhat by that point, so I got some of the old watch creations changed as needed, added some new ones, and had 3D modelling and rendering done by outsource workers. If you’re interested in where creative ideas come from, read my post on Watch Design Inspirations.
Which got me to the point where I could redo the website and have a starting-point to show our unique watches to people who might be interested.
Valuable coincidences.
As often happens when one fully and genuinely commits to something, after not having done anything with this project for ten years, as soon as I got really into moving forward with it, I had a very valuable coincidence . . . “out of the blue” I got a message from an old school friend saying that his nephew, Evan Fry, a young but very knowledgeable watch enthusiast, wanted to look at my UnconstrainedTime watches. He’s now a valuable part of the UnconstrainedTime team.
Somewhat later in the development, just when I needed it, a program became available by a very experienced eCommerce advisor with expertise in the luxury sector, giving me most of what I needed to know in order to set up and develop the eCommerce side of the business, with 1-to-1 guidance from a real expert.
I’ve also trademarked our name and logo.
Preparations for our brand launch
At the time this blog post is being updated, we’re working towards the launch of our Fractal Emergence watch, which is almost certainly the first ever 3D fractal watch.
One of the other designs I was considering for the initial launch, is much more complex and challenging to get made, including some questions which can only be answered by trial and error since the potential results are not known by experts. So it makes more sense to launch with one of our watches that can go ahead more rapidly.
We also have plans to set up the various parts of our administrative systems (compliance, shipping, and tracking all the parts for each watch being ordered being individually made, assembled, checked fully and finished etc.), to ensure great customer service.
As development progresses, we will, of course, be releasing a video of how our unique time-display works.
We’ll also be setting up our affiliate program before we announce the exact launch date, so that anyone who wants to tell others about our watches can get paid commissions for any sales arising from their comments.
We plan to finalize the prices for the first watch we’ll be releasing, soon, after the prototype is made.
And, of course, the main thing we’ll be doing to be ready for our launch is to get our watches in front of people who like them. If you find UnconstrainedTime interesting, you can help get the word out by sharing on social-media, as well as commenting on our blog posts and social-media content etc.
Don’t miss the launch!
