For watch collectors who seek genuine artistic expression beyond conventional timepieces, UnconstrainedTime creates small, numbered quantities of wearable sculptures that unite fine art with horology.
Each piece is conceived and crafted as a unified artistic vision, and made accessible at entry-level luxury prices – bringing museum-worthy art from gallery walls to the wrist.
More than a timepiece, each UnconstrainedTime creation becomes a physical anchor to profound moments. Your choice reflects not just aesthetic preference, but a chapter in your own story – marking time through both its display and its significance. Each piece not only represents artistic vision but becomes uniquely yours through personalised material selection. Your choice of metals transforms these small numbered release sculptures into individually crafted expressions that reflect both the creator’s artistry and your personal aesthetic.

Artist’s note: “I love the sheer beauty of this fractal, its delicate sweeping curves and complex yet natural organic forms.
It is emerging from the much simpler, yet related, forms of the surrounding watch, as UnconstrainedTime is emerging into various worlds such as watch microbrands and conceptual-art-jewellery.
The fractal is literally emerging from a higher dimension . . . this 3D fractal is a Julia Quaternion, which is a 4 dimensional object emerging into 3 dimensional space.”

Artist’s note: “I was inspired by the fascinating characteristics of ancient crosses, including a gold medieval cross with slightly rough texture and rounded corners, the simple, unquestioningly immersive experience of ancient worship, and the elemental beauty lovingly created by traditional artisans. I love the contrasts between the materials, the subtle details of the grain of the oil-finished wood and the slight texture of the metal.
For me, this sculpture evokes the timeless serenity of a small Saxon church as it existed in an era of quiet rural life, long before watches existed, far from any thoughts of ambition or glory, so eloquently expressed in the poem ‘Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard’, by Thomas Gray”

Artist’s note: “I was Inspired by the fascinating organic shapes and textures of poppy seed pods, and what they remind me of.
They evoke memories of being so thoroughly absorbed, staring in wonder at the beauty of the poppy seed pods by the edge of a corn field in late summer, the gentle breezes and the warmth of the sun, breathing in the scents of the newly harvested corn and the wildflowers, hearing the bird song and the sounds of insects, entranced by the delicate symmetries and exquisite forms and how they relate to their purpose as part of the interwoven complexity of life.
Growing up with the warmth of lazy summer days spent exploring the countryside, immersed in the experiences, with the long summer holiday seeming endless and idyllic.“

Artist’s note: “I was inspired to create this watch design by the fascinating techno circle graphics which I’ve seen for a few years. I wondered what something based on those concepts would be like in three dimensions. I also saw a related techno render with a partially hidden lower layer, the idea of which I incorporated into this design.
I also loved finding ways to express the essence of the techno music genre, with the interplay between raw, aggressive power and delicate, beautiful details, unapologetic boldness and fascinatingly intricate, subtle complexity.
I love the exotic, futuristic feel, the fascinating shapes, the relationships between the different levels and how they work with the clean, precise surfaces of the metal, as well as the secretive nature of the lower layers which, although partially hidden, are still complex, intriguing and beautiful.”

Artist’s Note: “I was inspired by the complex, enchanting forms of intertwining tropical tree roots, in fascinating contrast to the bright facets of the raw quartz crystals.
The sinuous flows meeting the brittle, hard-edged brilliance, the dark Yin quality of the smooth organic forms balancing the bright, Yang nature of the quartz, formed in fire, reflecting and shifting the light.”
Artist’s note: “My inspirations for this watch started from the word ‘HIP HOP’ (which can be seen on the top of the central part of this watch) and the bold, brash concepts from hip hop imagery. I also like the contrast between the heavy, solid forceful shapes of the watch and the brilliant, delicate transparency of the diamonds used as the time display elements”

Artist’s Note: “One of the inspirations for this watch was a stereotactic frame, which is the circular metal frame used to hold a human head still in an exact position for precision brain surgery. That led to my exploration of concepts of a brash, mechanical circle holding and displaying something precious, delicate, and much more organic in form, in the centre. I love the contrasts embodied in this concept, and how it relates to the idea of framing a piece of fine art”
