Art Jewellery Watches: How The Development Of Timepieces And The Arts Made Them Inevitable
Most watches are influenced mainly by engineering and/or fine jewellery. Art jewellery evolved out of fine jewellery and various art movements around the beginning of the 20th Century, and started having some degree of influence on the design of a few timepieces relatively recently. The development of horology, technology, marketing and society has resulted in a profound change to how people relate to watches in today’s world.
The ongoing changes in these two areas seem to me to have made the emergence of art jewellery based watches inevitable, as has now happened with our own UnconstrainedTime creations.
Fractal Art: Why Fractals Are Beautiful, And Why They Are Sometimes Art, Sometimes Design.
After looking at the basics of what fractals are, some types of them, and some examples of their uses, I then explore beauty and aesthetics and how they relate to fractals and also to well-being. I then go into detail about the differences between art and design, and how they apply to what people call “fractal art”, then looking at lots of examples, finishing with our own unique fractal creation.
Microbrands: Advantages And Disadvantages Of Buying A Microbrand Watch.
This article will be looking not just at the phenomenon of microbrands itself but also looking at the context which created the existence of microbrands, to give you a deeper understanding of how and why they arose and how they relate to other things. I’ll also look at advantages and disadvantages of microbrands, from a buyers perspective, and examples of microbrands I find particularly interesting, as well as details of why UnconstrainedTime is an unusual microbrand.
